Bainbridge Island Classic Car Cruise-In
If you’ve missed their other events, you better add this one to your calendar because it’s the last one of the year!
The Bainbridge Island Classic Car Cruise-In combines the love of classic automobiles with a desire to help local kids. Open to the general public, come and enjoy cool cars and special interest vehicles or bring one of your own (no fee or advance reservation required).
Imagine a picturesque evening where gleaming classic cars line up, each telling a story of its own. The Bainbridge Island Classic Car Cruise-In is an ode to the timeless allure of vintage automobiles. But this event is not just about admiring cars; it's about supporting the community. Held at the Bainbridge First Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 29th, from 5 pm to 8 pm, this family-friendly gathering invites car enthusiasts, families, and friends to come together.
The allure of polished chrome and meticulously restored interiors isn't the only highlight. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be served, making it a true summer treat. However, what makes this event even more special is its connection to Project Backpack. By participating, attendees have the opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause that provides school supplies, new clothes, and assistance with school fees for local students in need. It's an example of how a shared passion for classic cars can drive positive change within the community.

For those who feel more at home on the beach than on asphalt, the Beach Naturalist Exploration is a unique chance to connect with nature in its most unspoiled form. On Wednesday, August 30th, from 9:30 am to 11 am, head to the Point White Pier for an immersive experience led by naturalists.
Before you embark on this journey, here are some tips: wear shoes or boots that can handle water, as you'll be exploring the shallow waters along the shore. You'll find the naturalists in neon green vests, ready to guide you through this enchanting expedition. Though kids are welcome, it's best to leave your furry friends at home. The terrain can be slippery, so consider bringing a hiking stick for stability.
The rocks and seaweed-draped shores hold hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. Let the waves serenade you as you uncover the fascinating marine life that calls the Bainbridge Island shoreline home. It's a free opportunity to reconnect with nature and learn about the delicate balance of our coastal ecosystem.
