I may have been ambitious in June but July is feeling lazy, fun and relaxed. I also have such a wonderful group of clients in my life right now so am just grateful for all the good energy around. Not a bad way to spend the hottest days of summer.

Mini Metro
With a job that’s mentally taxing and often a physical marathon, when I unwind, I do it in a truly lethargic state. I often have a mindless game that I play in bed before crashing or in the five minutes waiting for a showing etc. In the past this may have something to do with crushing jewels— but I’ve clearly evolved to building public transit!
Mini Metro is the perfect little game- it’s short, just a few minutes to play a round and the idea of helping little shapes/commuters travel famous cities with the least amount of connections is also oddly satisfying. It’s also quite beautiful in it’s simplicity.
Tour de France- Unchained
I once was an avid biker. I’ve had a nagging thing the last couple years but am slowly finding my way back on to two wheels. I do love the sport and love following along. This docu series from Netflix was fascinating. Watch it on your trainer ;)

The Salty Dog
This has been my go to drink of the summer. Want a citrus cocktail with a salted rim that’s not margarita? Enter, the Salty Dog! This cocktail’s got a unique name and a beautiful pale pink color. It’s really not anything like a margarita, aside from that salt rim but it’s tangy, refreshing and a bit savory. This recipe uses grapefruit, but I will sometimes add in other citrus and even muddled rosemary. It’s tangy and refreshing, perfect as a brunch drink or for happy hour.
Try it for yourself:
Flaky sea salt
3 tablespoons (1 ½ ounces) gin
6 tablespoons (3 ounces) fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
1 teaspoon (1 dash) simple syrup or maple syrup
Lime wedge
For the garnish: Grapefruit wedge
