2022 Grand Old 4th

The 4th of July on Bainbridge is a tremendous event is filled with charm, delight and pure small town joy. After two years of holding, the Celebrate Bainbridge Island and 55th annual Grand Old 4th is back. There are 15 community events over the course of the weekend with plenty for all ages, interests locals and tourists alike. There are tons of options, but here are some not-to miss activities.

July 3:

Old Timers Alumni Baseball Game. 12:00pm, BHS Fields

Former players and coaches raise money for the community and bragging rights

Street Dance. 6PM-11PM. Winslow Way

This events is geared to children of all ages— bring the kids, bring the folks and bring your dance shoes. Activities from Kidi-Mu and live music for the littles and a beer and wine garden for the more mature crowd.

July 4:

Pancake Breakfast. 7AM-11AM. Town and Country

BHS Boosters Club is sponsoring its annual pancake breakfast. This fundraiser proceeds help support supplemental program at the high school.

Fun Run. 9AM. Island Fitness

Kick-off your 4th of July celebration by getting out with your friends and neighbors and having fun, all while supporting youth mental health. All of your favorites are back: the 5K, the 1 Mile, and the Kids Dash for kids under 7. The Fun Run benefit BYS and our mission to support youth mental health and well-being in our community.

Street Fair and Kids Zone. 9AM-5Pm. Bjune Drive, Waterfront Park

The street fair features over 100 artisans and a play zone with a pony rides and a giant slide. There will plenty of food and a beer garden as well.

Hometown Parade 1PM- Madison Avenue

The best of small-town living. Local businesses, youth organizations, non-profits and community groups will showcase the best of what Bainbridge is about. The route runs along Madison Avenue North and extends to Winslow Way and Ericksen Ave. Arrive early to secure a spot along the parade route, especially if you have folks who are hopeful candy catchers.
