Casual Dining

Plate and Pint

Plate and Pint at 321 High School Road is an American-styled sports pub. The fare appears traditional at first, but it is generally well prepared. The atmosphere is comfortable and the service usually great. They also have a raved-about (at least in our household) kid’s menu, and a couple of our children would probably choose the mac and cheese over their siblings.

Know before you go: Plate and Pint is open 7 days a week and has a great happy hour in the afternoon before 6. Learn More

Via Rosa 11 Italian Kitchen

Via Rosa at 10320 NE Valley Road is a wonderful Italian counter service nook in Rolling Bay. They offer tasty wood-fired pizzas and delicious pasta. We are big fans of the lasagna as well as the beet ravioli paired with gorgonzola sauce. It’s a local staple and a popular place for takeout. Via Rosa is great for big groups, vegetarians and simple casual night dinners.

Know before you go: Via Rosa is open until 7 Monday through Thursday, and 8pm Friday and Saturday. Closed on Sunday. Learn More

Copper Top (Fletcher Bay Winery, Bainbridge Brewing, That’s a Some Pizza)

Copper Top is a mecca for kid’s activities such as Bainbridge Ballet, Boys and Girls Club and martial arts—it’s also across from the middle school which hosts many extra-curricular activities. It may be weird to see a winery and brewery on this list, but you can order pizza or visit a food truck while you shuttle kids to and from and then enjoy a quick glass of your choice while you wait for them.

Know before you go: Cups opens at 7AM and closes at 6:30PM every day except Thursday, when they close at 9PM. Learn More

Coquette

Coquette is a small cart located in the Winslow Mall open courtyard at 278 Winslow Way E, Bainbridge Island. They are fast and the baked goods are incredible. There are many tables and chairs under a covered pavilion where you can catch up with a friend.

Know before you go: Wait for food can be variable, so go ahead and get the pitcher. Learn More

Westside Pizza

Westside Pizza at 323 High School Road is the traditional pizza parlor that you grew up with. Plenty of arcade and board games, ample seating and a large screen showing sports complete an experience that everyone can get behind. You’ll often find me here on a Friday night.

Know before you go: Bring quarters so your kiddos don’t hound you. Open 7 days a week. Lean More
