Playgrounds on Bainbridge Island
There are numerous parks to explore and enjoy the outdoors via trails, ponds and shoreline. There are less traditional playgrounds on Bainbridge but here are a couple that are worth exploring.
Owens Playground
Located at Rotary Park, located off of weaver and walkable from Winslow. This is a modern, fun playground for little and big kids. It’s also where the little league plays and has a snack stand on the weekends during games.
Battlepoint Park
The epicenter of outdoor fun for the kids (and adults) on the island. It’s our largest sports complex and offers running trails, a small pump track, a stocked fishing pond as well as soccer and lacrosse fields. From personal experience, it’s a wonderful spot to teach your child to ride their bike.
Strawberry Hill Park
A little something for everyone- a climbing dome, playground, and skate park. It’s also a hot spot for kids sport events so can be a great resource for entertaining young ones while a sibling is engaged in a baseball or football game. Additionally, there is a pretty large off-leash dog park.
Schools
All the elementary schools as well as the Aquatic Center have places to play and explore. They aren’t open during school hours but are accessible nights and weekends.
