I hope everyone had a fun and safe July 4th holiday! Coming up this week are three events that will make you want to grab a friend and attend!
First up is the Sounds of Summer Series with incredible band Nearly Dan. 12 highly talented artists will have you smiling from ear-to-ear, singing your hearts out, and dancing the night away to your new favorite songs. Incredible bass lines, impressive guitar beats — they’re returning to the stage as a local favorite. On top of these fantastic tunes, the Summer Concert Series at Battle Point Park is completely free! Grab some blankets, lawn chairs, friends & family and join in on the fun before it’s too late. They’re bringing tasty vendors, so leave the sack lunches at home and treat yourself to a new flavor while supporting your neighbors. It's the perfect opportunity to kick back, connect, and soak in the sweet summer.
Next is stepping into a Shakespearean comedy set in a mystical forest near Athens. You'll find yourself in the midst of four spirited young lovers, a bunch of hilariously clumsy amateur actors, the serious royal court of Athens, and mischievous fairies who keep things interesting. This play dives deep into the tangled web of love – exploring the blurred lines between reality and fantasy, and riding the rollercoaster of desire. When humans and fairies collide, emotions run wild – love, jealousy, and playful magic swirling like a whirlwind. Despite the chaos – or maybe because of it – everything somehow falls into place by the end. It's a timeless tale that proves true love's journey is anything but straightforward.
Lastly, immerse yourself in an evening dedicated to crafting your very own cheese board masterpiece. They’re offering a delightful array of cheeses paired with crip crackers, succulent fresh fruits and more. By the end of the night, you’ll will walk away with a meticulously curated cheese board that's so perfect you’ll want to save it for your next charcuterie girl’s (or guy’s) night in. Wine for purchase! Complement your cheese with a glass of your favorite vino, additional cheeses, chocolates, and charcuterie. Feel free to enjoy your home-brought snacks.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Imagine stepping into a Shakespearean comedy set in a mystical forest near Athens. You'll hang out with four spirited young lovers, a bunch of hilariously clumsy amateur actors, the serious royal court of Athens, and mischievous fairies who keep things interesting. This play dives deep into all the ways love can mess with us, blurring what's real and what's not, and exploring all the highs and lows of desire. When humans and fairies collide, emotions go wild – love, jealousy, and playful magic swirling around like a tornado. Despite the craziness – or maybe because of it – everything somehow works out in the end. It's a classic tale that shows true love's journey is never a straight shot. Shakespeare really nailed it with this story that's still a classic after all these years. The young lovers, driven by passion and bravery, navigate a world where magic and reality are intertwined. And don't forget the amateur actors stumbling through their roles, adding a hilarious twist to the whole show. Right in the middle of it all is the serious royal court of Athens, a total opposite to the whimsical fairy kingdom filling the forest. The play puts love's complications front and center: from lusting for someone who doesn't feel the same to mistaken identities, Shakespeare lays it all out like a big puzzle of human relationships. It gets you thinking about what's real and what's just in your head. With sharp wit and clever twists, Shakespeare pushes us to laugh at the crazy ways love messes with us and how we chase that perfect romantic moment. Join for a night of laughs, magic, and a story that's been entertaining folks for ages under the stars. It's a night you won't wanna miss!
