September 2022 Top 3
The kids are back in school-- the crisp morning is back and like them, I am also filled with excitement, fear and hope for what the new year could bring. I am going to be taking some time this fall to revisit myself, set bigger business goals and enjoy these last fleeting days of the sun. Here is what's making me happy this month.
1. The Twelve Hour Walk: I am taking a day at the end of the month to go through this program-- I'd love if you joined me!
2. 30 Walks on Bainbridge (Where you will find me...) PS. All islanders should own this book- it can be found at Wildernest or Eagle Harbor bookstore.
3. Atlas of the Heart. I have been slow to join the Brene fan club-- not a knock against her but I had others that drew my attention more from that era of (hello, Liz Gilbert ;). I really worked through this book, and then I re-listened to it with Matt so that we could talk about it together. I would highly recommend this for any close relationship-- it's a great framework for common language around emotions. I think of this one almost as a dictionary of emotion and nuance.
