Coincidentally, my word for 2024 was grateful and now that I am fresh into 2025, I am just that.
I am grateful for the many new friends who entered into my life through this work. Seriously. I could start and stop here and still have heapfuls of gratitude.
I am grateful to sit with some families during what turned out to be some challenging transitions. There is a tacit exchange that often happens in my work that I find to be so intimate and almost holy. I have seen some incredible acts of family and service this year that really sat with me. Thank you for letting me be part of your vulnerable times.
I am grateful for the friends and clients who referred me to their dear ones. There really is no greater honor.
I am grateful to my family, who take such pride in being part of this business. They very much understand how important this work is and how our family can help serve others.
I am grateful to learn about new organizations and social ventures through you!! Through our give-back fund, we made some wonderful contributions and I've personally started volunteering for two new organizations.
and Lastly, I am grateful to my husband, Matt. We celebrated 16 years of marriage on December 31. The celebrations seem to be getting more casual....
