The Week Ahead
As winter lingers on Bainbridge Island, this week’s events invite you to slow down and savor three very different kinds of experiences. From a quiet walk through winter gardens, to an indulgent evening of stories, chocolate, and wine, to an intimate classical concert, each gathering offers its own way to pause, connect, and enjoy something thoughtfully made. Together, they reflect the island’s love of nature, creativity, and shared moments that feel personal rather than rushed.

December is always busy so I’ll skip over that part where we all talk about how it’s tiring, but awesome, but tiring… It’s the great duality in our culture. This year isn’t different for me but I somehow am feeling more appreciative than I have in the past for the little things. First and foremost for me, that’s my relationship. Matt and I are celebrating 15 years of marriage on New Years Eve and we briefly stepped away from the fray for a quick trip to Las Vegas to see my main squeeze, Bono.

The fall vibes are here!!! I’m someone who leans toward gratitude naturally—especially for the good people around me— clients, friends, family. But even with the best intentions, it's nice to have a reminder of the why in the life we are leading.
I’ve had a few things re-emerge on my path lately that I’d love to share. I am guessing these aren’t anything new to you either, but perhaps a subtle reminder of the good that is right now and what we are striving for.

Boy, fall has been beautiful so far. I’ve heard that we are in for the big turn soon so of course I am thinking about snuggling in with a fire and pulling up a good book. I like many families have found September to fly by with the a frenetic energy and am looking forward to getting into the swing of the fall schedule.
Here are a few things that are occupying me these days— all of which are fantastic for a cozy night by the fire.
